What you build
Your service keeps each sale's lines on its own records as it takes the sales up (the item, quantity, amount net of tax, the user who rang it, the time and the shop's name for that part of the day), and your manifest's report lists them with totals, to filter and group in Desk.
Limits
- A sale shows in the report once it has been taken up by a press.
- Who sold it is the till user who rang the sale.
Tell the customer
One report of sales by item, by who rang them and by breakfast, lunch or dinner, across your stores.
What next
- Tell the customer the 2 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
- Follow the recipe: Restaurant back office: recipes off stock, allergens and food cost.
- Copy the sample: S45 — Restaurant back office (recipes off stock, allergens, food cost, sales by day part), and change it.
- Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
- Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
- Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
Install it on your sandbox the way the shop's administrator will; the checker refuses a manifest that declares code.
