A beep and a question when a flagged item is scanned
The customer asks: A beep and a yes-or-no question when the cashier scans an item we flagged
- Verdict: Ready, with limits (2)
- Door: Capture on an event · area: Till controls and approvals › Questions and details during the sale
- Recipe: A value captured at the scan, and a code before a new customer (capture)
- Sample: S20 — Warranty capture and a member code (capture)

What you build
Your service is asked when an item your filter names is scanned; it answers with a beep and a question, a refusal, or values for the line.
Limits
- Online, your service answers. Offline, the answer you declared applies to the items ticked at the start of the day.
- POS LANE X row X60, P-CAPTURE4 (a notice at the scan) adds an answer that shows your sentence and adds the item with no question; today the cashier answers once.
Tell the customer
Scanning a flagged item makes the till beep and ask the cashier your question before the line is added.
What next
- Tell the customer the 2 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
- Follow the recipe: A value captured at the scan, and a code before a new customer (capture).
- Copy the sample: S20 — Warranty capture and a member code (capture), and change it.
- Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
- Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
- Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
Test it with your service stopped: the till applies the answer you declared for when it is down.
