What you build
Your service is asked when a new customer is added; it sends a one-time code, and the server checks the code before the customer is made.
Limits
- New customers only: there is no door yet when an existing customer is chosen (the card question-on-existing-customer).
- Three wrong codes end the check, and a code lives ten minutes.
Tell the customer
A new customer is made only after they read back the code sent to their phone.
What next
- Tell the customer the 2 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
- Follow the recipe: A value captured at the scan, and a code before a new customer (capture).
- Copy the sample: S20 — Warranty capture and a member code (capture), and change it.
- Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
- Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
- Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
Test it with your service stopped: the till applies the answer you declared for when it is down.
