A limit on the quantity of one item on a line
The customer asks: No more than 50 of one item on a line
- Verdict: Ready, with limits (1)
- Door: Check before payment · area: Till controls and approvals › Limits on a sale
- Recipe: Several till rules in one app, with the shop's own settings (till guard rules)
- Sample: S23 — Till guard rules (a check before payment and a capture on scan, one app)
- Checked: carried 2026-10-16 · not re-run
What you build
Your service answers the check before payment and refuses a sale with a line over the limit, in your own sentence. The limit lives in one settings record the shop edits.
Limits
- Answered when the cashier presses Pay, not when the quantity is typed.
Tell the customer
The till stops the sale at Pay when a line is over the limit and tells the cashier why. It does not stop the quantity being typed.
What next
- Tell the customer the 1 limit above, and write it into the proposal.
- Follow the recipe: Several till rules in one app, with the shop's own settings (till guard rules).
- Copy the sample: S23 — Till guard rules (a check before payment and a capture on scan, one app), and change it.
- Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
- Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
- Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
Test it with your service stopped: the till applies the answer you declared for when it is down.
