iVendNextDevelopers Request a sandbox

A coupon that needs a sale of a given size for each use

The customer asks: One coupon for each so much spent; a coupon only on a sale above a minimum

What you build

Your service answers the check before payment. iVendNext keeps one rule per coupon with the sale each use needs; the service adds up the amounts of the coupons on the sale and refuses them when the sale's total is less. One coupon of 100 for each 1,000 spent is a rule of 1,000 on each such coupon: two need a sale of 2,000. With one coupon it is a minimum sale for that coupon.

Limits

Tell the customer

A coupon on a sale too small for it is refused at Pay with the amount needed; the cashier removes a coupon or adds to the sale.

What next

  1. Tell the customer the 6 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
  2. Follow the recipe: Coupons for a first purchase, one customer group, or a sale of a given size.
  3. Copy the sample: S32 — Coupon rules (a check before payment that refuses a coupon the retailer restricted), and change it.
  4. Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
  5. Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
  6. Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.

Test it with your service stopped: the till applies the answer you declared for when it is down.
