iVendNextDevelopers Request a sandbox

A value unique across all records

The customer asks: A tax number on one customer only

What you build

A save rule of kind unique across: the value of one field is on no other active record of the type. The product also takes up to three scope fields (for example the company). It holds on every save: Desk, import and the API. The kit's copy of the save-rules page, written before this kind merged, lists seven kinds and does not describe it; the product's page does, and the shop's install screen is the check.

Limits

Tell the customer

A customer's tax number can be held on one active customer only; a second one is refused when it is saved.

What next

  1. Tell the customer the 7 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
  2. Start from: Save rules.
  3. Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
  4. Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
  5. Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
  6. To lift a limit, ask for P-RULES2 (the extension-point request; members only).
