A local delivery app sent the orders to deliver
The customer asks: Send our delivery orders to our local delivery company's app and see where each one is
- Verdict: Ready, with limits (3)
- Door: Outside app · area: Integrations, payments and hardware › Online shops and order systems
- Recipe: Keep a customer's own system in step with iVendNext
- Sample: S7 — a system sync: a customer's own ERP, order system or warehouse system in step with iVendNext
- Checked: read 2026-10-22 in the system sync and event feed recipes · S7's pattern with a delivery app (orders out, status back) not built or run
What you build
Your outside app on S7's pattern: it reads each order to deliver from the event feed, sends it to the delivery app, and writes the delivery's status back to the shop over the API.
Limits
- Not run: no sample sends orders to a delivery app.
- The feed reports an order after it is booked, so the delivery app hears of it seconds later.
- The status lands where your app writes it (a field your manifest adds, or a record of your own), not on a screen the shop already has.
Tell the customer
Orders to deliver reach your delivery company within seconds, and each order shows the status the delivery company reports.
What next
- Tell the customer the 3 limits above, and write them into the proposal.
- Follow the recipe: Keep a customer's own system in step with iVendNext.
- Copy the sample: S7 — a system sync: a customer's own ERP, order system or warehouse system in step with iVendNext, and change it.
- Build and test it on your sandbox (request one if you have none; what is on it).
- Run the checks: your own tests, the kit's checks and the money kit's release gate (testing and release).
- Release through the customer's own release gate (14. Testing and release); an app other shops install goes through the App library.
Stop your service for a while and start it again: it must catch up from the event feed, missing nothing.
